CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) Verification Service
The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) introduced by the European Union requires the reporting and verification of the embedded greenhouse gas emissions of products imported into the EU in carbon-intensive sectors, as well as the fulfilment of declaration obligations by importers. The Regulation directly covers several sectors, including, in particular, cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertilisers, electricity, and hydrogen.
Under the CBAM, producers exporting to the European Union are required to calculate, record, report, and have verified the direct and, where applicable, indirect greenhouse gas emissions embedded in their products, using methodologies compliant with the applicable legislation.
