Türkiye Green Taxonomy Regulation Published🍀

The Türkiye Green Taxonomy Regulation, published in the Official Gazette on 24 September 2026, establishes the fundamental framework for identifying environmentally sustainable economic activities in Türkiye.

The main objectives of the Regulation are to:

    * support economic activities that are aligned with sustainable development goals,
    * encourage the flow of finance towards sustainable investments, and
    * prevent greenwashing in the market.

Within this framework, the Regulation covers:

🔹economic activities listed in Annex I,
    🔹activities of financial institutions,
🔹implementation requirements and technical screening criteria under the Türkiye Green Taxonomy,
    🔹reporting and verification processes, and
    🔹the Online Taxonomy Management System.

The new regulatory framework lays the foundation for a system in which sustainability claims are not based solely on declarations, but on defined technical criteria, reportable data and verifiable information.

As AVRASYA, we closely follow developments concerning the Türkiye Green Taxonomy, including technical screening criteria and verification processes.
